Who we are?

Founded in Istanbul by sisters Katerina Cansu Ertem and Alev Ertem, Studio Potato combines Anatolia's thousands of years old traditional rug weaving techniques with modern designs. Our aim is to revitalize and revive this deep-rooted craft with sustainable methods.

Why Did We Set Out on This Path?

To Keep the Craft Alive: Anatolia is a magical geography where great stories of love and heroism are woven into rugs. However, with the spread of mass production, these ancient crafts are in danger of disappearing. As Studio Potato, we aim to carry this craft into the future and make it sustainable by blending it with modern designs. By working with talented craftswomen from all over Turkey, we contribute to keeping this cultural heritage alive.

Because We Protect Nature: Our products are made from eco-friendly materials such as wool and recycled cotton. With our natural and long-lasting designs, we both offer you durable products and support the awareness of environmental protection.

For Supporting the Slow Movement: Slow production emphasizes the value of work done with patience and love. Studio Potato products are produced with care and without haste, entirely by hand. Each piece is customized especially for you and comes with beautiful energies.
